Definition

The key definition of a table type with a structure as row type can be made in the form of an explicit key definition. Structured and/or unstructured components of the row type are defined here as key compoents. The order in which the key components are defined is part of the key definition.

The following conditions are valid for the explicit key definition:

• Row type of the table type must be a structure containing the specified key components.
  
• The specified key components may not be tables, that is the components of the row type having a table type as type, and they may not be structured components of the row type containing tables.

The indivdiual key components can be entered directly in the maintenance screen or selected using the input help.
