Definition

Determines how hierarchies are to be generated in the enterprise organization. The following types of generation are permitted:

  • 1 - Generate standard hierarchy

    The system evaluates the enterprise organization and uses the data to generate the standard hierarchy for the corresponding controlling area.

  • 2 - Generate alternative hierarchy

    The system evaluates the enterprise organization and uses the data to generate an alternative hierarchy. In so doing, it does not change an existing standard hierarchy.

  • 3 - Replace standard hierarchy with alternative hierarchy
  • Replacement takes place in several several steps
    • It copies the current standard hierarchy to an alternative hierarchy with suffix (you need to enter the suffix yourself)
    • Generates the new standard hierarchy from the existing alternative hierarchy
    • Deletes the existing alternative hierarchy (assuming it can be deleted)
