Definition
Section of path for displaying an original application file if the file has been saved to the SAP database, an archive, or a vault.
Use
This path is not relevant to data carrier types for printers, archives, or vaults, because you cannot display original application files on these data carriers.
An original application file that has already been saved to a secure storage area cannot be accessed by the display program. For this reason, the system creates a temporary copy, which can be accessed using this path.
In the standard SAP System, the file format for temporary files of all applications is TMP. In the IMG activity "Define workstation applications", you can define file formats for specific applications (for example, .DOC).
Procedure
To display or edit the entire path, place the cursor on the line containing the data carrier type you require, and select the Detail pushbutton.
Dependencies
If you want to change an original application file that has already been saved to a secure storage area, you can select the path for the copy in the file manager.
