Definition
Posting period will be used in combination with posting year. If the posting period is filled it will be used to determine the month in which the current postings should be made. Thus, the period entered in the posting period will appear as the posting date in the FI document. If the posting period is left blank, the current month (current date) will used for the posting date.
If the current date is within the posting year and period, the current date will be used for the posting date.
If the current date is not within the posting year and period, the last day of the configured posting year and period will be used for the posting date.
