Definition
The DRIVER Segment is used as a logical reference point from which to base the creation of supplemental information when creating an 810/9. Based on this Driver Segment (and "Billing-Level" Driver higher in the key), a sequence of Supplemental Segments and their Fields/Components are defined. These Supplememtal Segments and relevant Fields are specified and populated in a predefined sequence. This process is closely coupled with the Billing Levels specified in the Supplemental Detail Sets (refer to documentation of JV_SUP_DRV).
