Definition
This field is the joint venture drilling recovery percentage. It is used in carried interest processing, along with the operating recovery percentage, to determine when payout has been reached. The recovery percentage is multiplied by the drilling expenses for a carried partner on a venture/equity group to determine the amount of drilling expense that must be recovered by revenue prior to the partner reaching payout. The percentage is generally greater than or equal to 100%.
