Documentation
Definition
Specifies how the system reacts (warning, error, or no message) when you try to process a sales order using a material with a particular sales status.
Use
For each material that you sell, you can enter a sales status in the material master record. You can specify, for example, that
- The material is no longer available but that a replacement product exists
- That the material is defective and should not be sold
For each possible sales status entry, you can further specify whether, during processing, the user receives a warning, an error message, or no message at all.
Example
When, for example, you enter a sales status for a defective material in the material's master record, you can specify that the user receives an error message if he or she tries to use this material in any kind of sales document.
