Definition
Determines whether and with which priortiy the system considers specific logistics objects, when it assigns the call components of an incoming call to the components group types. The system checks for matches with the components groups types and call components. It initially checks the mandatory objects and then the priorites in ascending order. As soon as a clear assignment is possible, the system ends the components group determination.
Use
For example, you can define whether the system should check the match between the unloading point and the assembly location in the call component and components group. The components group determination does not depend on whether you use the process for assemblies (seqJC) or for discrete materials (seqJC, sumJC).
Example
You have only indicated the unloading point as obligatory and the assembly location with priority 1. The system initially checks whether there are components groups with the same unloading point as the call components. If it finds several components groups, it checks whether the assembly location matches a components group. Should it then find several components groups, it will issue an error message.
Dependencies
- You can find the components group determination profile in Customizing with the activity Define components group determination. However, the components group determination is often more complex than can be represented with this activity. Therefore, a customer-exit allows you to realize a complex determination of the Components group material and the production version of the call component. Then you can indicate both the components group material as well as the production version as mandatory in the activity Define components group determination. The customer exit allows you, for example, to check the consistency of the assignment.
- You assign the components group determination to a JIT customer in the basic data under Maintain control data. If you do not assign a profile, the system uses the Standard profile.
