Definition

Specifies whether the system should explode the BOM for this material and determine the BOM components.

Use

If you set the indicator, the system explodes the BOM in the following cases:

• when printing the component list (action PCOM)
• when displaying the component list in the graphic progress confirmation (JIT-cockpit)
• when selecting materials that are delivered by sub-suppliers (Internet-scenario)
• when selecting materials which require documentation

Only set the indicator for materials which have a corresponding BOM. If you carry out a backflush for the material (material movement indicator 'Backflush with BOM components'), you should also set the indicator, so that the BOM components are displayed in the component list.

Dependencies

The Components requirements list only explodes the BOM at a call component, if you have set the material movement indicatorBackflush with BOM components (repetitive manufacturing).
