Documentation
Definition
Changes the internal processing status of a components group and carries out functions.
Processing an incoming JIT call causes the system to determine a new external status. The transfer to the new status triggers the action defined in call control. This action leads to the transfer of the current internal processing status to a new internal processing status. In this way, the action links the external status and the internal processing status.
Use
Alongside the automatic processing of incoming JIT calls and the external status change, you can trigger actions manually. The progress confirmation and JIT monitoring are available for this purpose. The progress confirmation is essentially intended to confirm completion from production, while JIT monitoring is a general tool for control and monitoring.
Procedure
Examples
Examples of an action are: Create JIT call or Transfer to production.
Dependencies
- You can use the SAP actions in your call control or define your own actions:
- As long as your own actions only change the internal processing status, you only have to enter them in Customizing.
- If your own actions also trigger functions, you can realize them in a customer exit.
You define the actions in Customizing for sequenced JIT calls with the activity Define call control and actions. In call control, you define which status change triggers an action and in which internal processing status it is allowed.
- You can also define an interlinked action and thus carry out several actions one after the other, with one command.
- The transition from no status to a status counts as a status change, which can trigger an action.
