Documentation
Definition
The partner access sequence determines which order partners must be assigned to a contract as a partner if this contract is to be considered for a temporary assignment.
A partner access sequence consists of the following:
- A numbered list of accesses and
- (optional) a list of admissible sales areas for contracts.
Each access contains the following:
- An "order partner role" R1,
- A "contract partner role" R2,
- A cumulation group
- An exclusivity.
- Information on additional checks.
System Response
During contract determination, all accesses for a partner access sequence are taken into account in the order in which they are numbered (with the exception of those that have the "role combination" value in the "additional checks" field).
When performing an access, all contracts are selected where:
- The business partner is assigned in role R2, and is also assigned to the order header, order item or billing dataset in role R1, and
- who comes from an admissible sales area (this check is not performed if no sales areas have been specified).
Example
An access with R1 = advertiser and R2 = contract holder selects all contracts for the advertiser.
An access with R1 = advertiser and R2 = beneficiary selects all contracts that benefit the advertiser.
The exception to this is the GS (group subsidiary) role for the contract partner. All group contracts whose holder is found at a higher level of the group hierarchy than the order partner are selected during an access for this role.
If accesses with the "role combination" or "access and role combination" value in the "additional checks" field are found, each selected contract is subjected to an additional check.
The system evaluates exclusivity once access has been performed to determine whether additional accesses should be performed.
Maintenance
Partner access sequences are defined in Customizing.
Standard settings
The example described in the exclusivity documentation shows which partner access sequence was previously produced by IS-M/AM (up to Release 4.01).
