Definition
Conflict control determines which of the (temporarily assigned) contracts found for a billing dataset are assigned as qualifying for discount and which count towards contract fulfillment, as parallel assignments if necessary.
Conflict control consists of the following:
- A "Parallel assignments admissible" indicator for each of the three discount classes
- A "Do not resolve conflicts manually" indicator and
- A numbered list containing sort criteria.
Each sort criterion contains the following:
- A component name from structure RJHAC01 (temporary assignments are created in this structure)
- A sort direction (ascending or descending),
- (optional) a grouping indicator for a discount class and
- An indicator for discount transfer.
Conflict control also defines which value is entered in the manual field in a contract assignment if it has been changed manually (for example selected in dialog, see below).
System Response
If several suitable contracts are found for a billing dataset, the temporary assignments are grouped according to the grouping criteria for each discount class and the first assignment in each group based on these sort criteria is created as qualifying for discount or bonus.
If this first assignment is not unique, a dialog box will appear in dialog processing on which the required assignment must be selected, unless the "Do not resolve conflicts manually" indicator has been selected If dialog processing is not available (order billing), the system terminates contract determination.
Temporary assignments that do not qualify for discount or bonus will be created as counting towards these if:
- Parallel assignments are admissible in the media customer master for the advertiser or
- Parallel assignments are not forbidden in the media customer master for the advertiser and conflict control for this discount class allows parallel assignments.
