The object type is a 3-character language-dependent abbeviation for an object in the SAP System (for example, order, cost center, project, ...).
This abbreviation is most often used combination with the object key in lists and error messages.
Examples:
ORD 100000 = Order 100000
CTR 0001 4711 = Cost center 4711 in controlling area 0001
