Versions serve to prepare data according to different aspects and criteria that is then valid for a given timeframe.

Use

The version number for REA master data is usually generated automatically, dependent on Customizing for REA.

You can create a new version by choosing the @0Y@ pushbutton. When you create a new record, versioned objects do not exist and must be assigned. You can copy an existing version by choosing the @2U@ pushbutton. The system copies the versioned objects of the original version. Creating a new record or copying a record can result in the existing versions being modified or even overwritten.
You can delete an existing version by choosing the @11@ pushbutton.
