Definition

Indicator for classification of different types of packaging

Use

A packaging type distinguishes between packaging with different composition. The purpose of classifying packaging into different classes (types) is to be able to define, for each packaging type, a particular measurement basis for the assignment of packagings to volume/area classes, or to be able to map special settlement rules, such as the petty rule or fraction formula.

Packaging types are created in recycling partner maintenance and must first be defined in REA Customizing (under Packaging-> Packaging Types).

Depending on the indicator PaTy WeightFee RePar or PaTypeItemFee RePart, the packaging type is maintained in relation to the recycling partner (indicator set) or independently of the recycling partner (indicator not set). In the second case, the system evaluates the packaging type that has been maintained for the packaging.

If the packaging type (WF/IF) is a differentiation criterion, then the respective field becomes the required-entry field.

If a petty rule is defined for the recycling partner, the field Packaging Type, Weight-Dep. Fee becomes the required-entry field.

If a field in the packaging dialog is not a required entry field, you can suppress the fields in the packaging dialog overview by setting the Hide Unnecessary Fields indicator for the recycling partner.

Packaging types can be assigned attributes.

Example

Packaging types are to be defined that reproduce, for example, the composition of bags that contain 15 individually packed wrapped bars for the recycling partner DSD.
The following are allotted to the packaging:

  1. A weight-dependent fee for the bag (mono material)
  2. A weight dependent fee according to the addition rule for the wrappers (smallest-sized packaging)
  3. An item-dependent fee for the bag (single packaging)
  4. An item-dependent fee according to the addition rule for the wrappers (smallest-sized packaging)
  5. No fraction formula evaluation

Following entries are to be maintained in the Packaging Types for Recycling Partner table:

PT    Packaging Type    W    WF    PW    PM    PR    Fraction    Wl%    I    IF    It    Ad    V/AC

01    Mono material    X    X

03    Smallest Pck    X    X                        X    X    X    X

The packaging types "non-returnable packaging", "re-usable packaging" and "multipack" are to be defined for the recycling partner FOST Plus.

1. Weight-dependent fee for all

2. No item-dependent fee for any

3. Fraction formula evaluation in relation to the packaging type

Following entries are to be maintained in the Packaging Type for Recycling Partner table.
