Definition
Serves as a template (reference) for another article.
Use
With article referencing you can use an article that has already been defined in REA master data as a reference for another article. The new article that is created in this way has consequently all of the properties and settings of the reference article. Changes made to reference articles directly affect all articles referenced to these articles.
The extent and validity area of referencing must be specified via the article reference type.
Example
The article 'Cherry yogurt' has the same packaging characteristics and properties as the article 'Banana yogurt. To minimize management effort you can maintain the article 'Cherry yogurt' in REA and simply reference the article 'Banana yogurt' to article 'Cherry yogurt'.
