Definition

Indicator for usage of packaging components in purchase transactions. Transaction data for purchase transactions is taken from material documents. The purchasing relevance is determined via the (Purchase Transaction) indicator with the data filters for material movements.

Use

The indicator is used in the quantity flow analysis of packagings from material documents as part of the periodical declaration. Also, only purchasing-relevant packaging components contribute to the prices of purchasing condition records. The "used for purchasing" indicator is only evaluated if, in general Customizing, the global indicator Indicate Use of Packaging for Purchasing is set - otherwise, all packaging is automatically purchasing-relevant.
