Definition
Packaging made of combined materials or packaging compounds, comprising more than x percent (weight) of one main material, can be settled according to the price of the main material.
The weight percentage of a main component can vary for each recycling partner (e.g. 95% main component + 5% secondary component)

Example
Application of the petty rule for combined packaging material of an aerosol can
(Recycling partner rule 95% main component + 5% secondary components)
Main component: tinplate
Secondary components: plastic cap, plastic actuator button,
plastic feeder tube, aluminum crimp seal
a. If the sum of all secondary components weighs less than 5%, the
packaging combination can be settled according to the main
component tinplate.
b. If the sum of all secondary components weighs more than 5%, all
manually separable components (cap, actuator button) are settled
according to the price for plastic. If the remaining feeder tube
and the aluminum crimp seal make up less than 5% of the weight,
the tinplate price is used for calculation. Otherwise the
material-specific prices are applied.
