Definition
Packaging made of combined materials or packaging compounds, comprising more than x percent (weight) of one main material, can be settled according to the price of the main material. The weight percentage of a main component can vary for each recycling partner (e.g. 95% main component + 5% secondary component).
No petty rule
K Optional rule
M Mandatory rule
Example
Application of the petty rule for a packaging combination: aerosol can
(Recycling partner rule 95% main component + 5% secondary component).
Main component: tinplate
Secondary components: plastic cap, plastic actuator button,
plastic tube, aluminum crimping seal
a. If the total of all secondary components is less than 5 % of the
total weight, the packaging combination can be settled according
to the main component: tinplate.
b. If the total of all secondary components is more than 5 % of the
total weight, all manually separable components (cap, actuator)
are settled according to the price for plastics. If the remaining
tube and the aluminum crimp seal exceed 5 % of the total weight,
the tinplate price is used for settlement. Otherwise, the
material-specific prices are applied.
