Definition
Specifies the number of decimal places that the price is to be rounded to.
Use
In Sales and Distribution (SD), the system calculates the price inclusive of ICMS. To prevent rounding errors when the nota fiscal is printed, the system needs to round the price, including ICMS, to a fixed number of decimal places.
Procedure
Enter the number of decimal places that the system should round the price to.
Example
Assume the following:
- Number of decimal places: 2
- Price excluding ICMS: 0.23 BRL
- Quantity: 100 pieces
- ICMS rate: 12%
In this case, the system calculates the exact price including ICMS as 0.261363636 BRL. Since the defined number of decimal places is two, the system rounds the price to the hundredths place, 0.26 BRL. This brings the nota fiscal total to 26.00 BRL for 100 pieces.
