Documentation
Definition
In the brazilian legal reports Modelo 1 and 2, observations have to be made depending on the business case. In some cases, it is not possible to determine these observations from the documents in the Nota Fiscal database. For these cases, this text field of length 50 that is located on header level (i.e. it is valid for the whole document and not only for certain lines) is provided.
If the Nota Fiscal was created automatically, the field will be filled by the respective application in those cases where it contains only reference information. If you create the Nota Fiscal manually, the field will have to be filled in certain business cases. You will be notified if manual entries of references are missing in this field when you try to save an incomplete document. In both cases, the references will be printed in the respective legal book together with some automatically determined text. (See example 1 below)
In some cases, the automatically determined texts for the observations column in legal book Modelo 1 and 2 are not sufficient. For those cases, it is possible to enter a free text in the observations field, which will then be printed in the respective legal book instead of automatically determined texts.
In order to characterize information entered in the observations field as this kind of free text, it is necessary to start this text with a *. (See example 2 below)
Example
- In the third party case ('vendas a ordem'), one of the participating parties has to inform as an 'observation' the Nota Fiscal number, series and date of a Nota Fiscal that was sent from one of the two other parties to the other. This Nota Fiscal is not available in the system of the reporting company. The data to be reported will be taken from this text field, that will be filled automatically by the application or manually on the header screen of the Nota Fiscal writer, if it is a manually created document.
- If you want to replace the automatically determined text(s) by an individual text (XYZ) for a certain Nota Fiscal in legal book Modelo 1 or 2, or if the book doesn't determine any text at all, and you want a text (XYZ) to be printed, for this Nota Fiscal, enter the following in the field observations of this Nota Fiscal:
*XYZ
