Definition
Adjusts the G/L accounts using provisional indexes instead of definitive indexes.
Procedure
The system calculates the inflation adjustment amounts as normal, but using the provisional values.
If you run the program in update mode, it creates two batch input sessions:
- One with inflation adjustment documents
- One with documents to reverse the postings
To post the inflation adjustment documents, process the first batch input session.
Before you make the final inflation adjustment using the definitive index, process the second session in order to reverse the provisional inflation adjustment documents.
