Definition

This field contains the amount on which tax is to be calculated. The amount is in document currency.

When entering tax line items directly, you always have to enter the base amount in order that the system can check whether the tax amount is correct.

For postings in foreign currency you can enter the amount in the foreign currency. The system converts the amount into local currency.
