Documentation
Definition
Specifies how the index is to be weighted.
Procedure
Enter a value between 0.01 and 0.99 that shows what weighting this index is to be given. The factors of all indexes that you enter must add up to 1.
Note that there is one exception: To express the difference between specific and the general inflation by means of a composite index, the factor for the specific index is 1 and the factor for the general index is -1.
Dependencies
Examples
A composite index consists of two indexes, IDX1 and IDX2, which are weighted 40:60. For the first index, the factor is 0.4; for the second, 0.6. This gives a total of 1.
