Definition

Indicates the message identification number that is created for an invoice in the communication interface (for example, Process Integration (PI)).

Use

When you create a billing document in Sales and Distribution (SD) or an invoice in Financial Accounting (FI), the system uses this identification number to gather the details of the invoices that are processed using the communication interface. This also helps get the XML structure of requests and responses for a particular invoice.
