Definition
This column is only relevant for info objects that have a partner object in another area (Word/XML), that is, Word objects that were converted to XML, or XML objects created by the conversion.
In each context either the Word object or the XML object is the leading object. This means that this object is displayed in this context (structure preview or export).
The system identifies the leading object from a pair of objects as follows:
- It checks whether Word and XML versions of the object (PHIO) exist in this context.
- If only one version exists (Word or XML), this one is is the leading object.
- If both versions exist, the PHIO with the latest time stamp is the leading object.
- If no version exists in this context, the system checks the next lowest enhancement (context resolution).
A leading object is identified by a "Yes" in this column.
For structures and folders the value "N/A", always appears in the "leading" column, since no conversion is possible for these object classes (Word / XML only). "N/A" also appears for all objects in section "Dependent Objects", since the check on converted objects is not executed here as it affects system performance.
Use
Further notes
An object can only be leading if it is visible.
If you find a "No" under "Leading" for an XML object, the Word object is displayed even though it has been converted to XML. This suggests unwanted intermediate versions may exist, and these can be examined using the detailed context lists.
