Supplementary Documentation - ITL_DSTCAT0001

Use

When a sales clerk creates a service order or a sales order, the system:

  1. Determines which location is going to supply the product, and checks which region the location is in.

In SAP CRM, a location corresponds to a plant in SAP R/3. A location is represented by a business partner with the role vendor. The system reads the region from the business partner address data.

  2. Checks which region the ship-to party is located in, using the region in its address data.

It uses this information to determine which CFOP code to assign to the order item.

Dependencies

Example

A customer located in Pôrto Alegre (in the state of Rio Grande del Sul) places an order for a product that you can only deliver from Belo Horizonte (in Minas Gerais).

When the clerk enters the order, the system checks which region the location is in (Minas Gerais) and which region the ship-to party is in (Rio Grande do Sul). It thus recognizes that this transaction is an interstate transaction.
