Value of a characteristic
- For characteristics in character format (CHAR), this field contains a single character string.
- The values in time format (TIME) must correspond to the following template: HH:MM:SS. The separators are set automatically.
Example: 132855 --> 13:28:55
- The values in date format (DATE) must correspond to the following: MM.DD.YYYY The separators are set automatically.
Example: 110100 --> 01.11.2000
Note
If you valuate validity parameters, you cannot specify intervals, only single values.
The following description does not apply to the valuation of validity parameters:
for characteristics in numerical (NUM), time (TIME), or date (DATE) format, you can specify a figure or an interval, where permitted.
Intervals are written as follows:
Value 1 - Value 2 (from value 1 to value 2)
>Value 1 (larger than value 1)
>=Value 1 (larger than, or the same as value 1)
<Value 2 (smaller than value 2)
<=Value 2 (smaller than, or the same as value 2)
>Value 1 - <Value 2 (larger than value 1, and smaller than value 2)
Value 1 - <Value 2 (larger or same as value 1, and smaller than val.2)
>Value 1 - Value 2 (larger than value 1, and smaller or the same as value 2)
In the case of multiple characteristics, you can specify several values, which are separated by semicolons.
If you have maintained the unit of measurement for a numerical value in the format specifications, it is automatically displayed when you confirm.
Note
When maintaining characteristics in a class system, you must indicate that the characteristic has 'multiple values' for value maintenance of an interval. This allows you to allocate more than one interval.
However, if you valuate a class characteristic with several intervals in the configuration (for example, interval 1 - 2m and 5 - 6m for the characteristic length), then the system only transfers one of these intervals when generating the inspection lot in QM. To prevent this, do NOT valuate a characteristic with more than one interval.
