Definition
The price basis is used in order to process order items in different ways in the pricing procedure. The price either refers to a period or to individual items.
When carrying out settlement for individual items, the price per unit is multiplied by the number of publication days in the settlement period.
Use
To carry out pricing using the price per unit, you also need to maintain the assignment between the sales order item schedule line and the delivery in order processing.
Example
When dealing with subscriptions, settlement is usually period-based.
When dealing with retail, settlement is based on individual units.
