Documentation
Definition
Specifies whether the value in the target document is transferred with a negative effect, a positive effect or no effect when copying from the source document.
Use
The system uses this indicator to determine how a document item is influenced during transfer to the target document.
The indicator controls whether the returns item indicator is selected or deselected during pricing. If it is selected, quantities are multiplied by -1 during pricing. This means that negative quantity-dependent conditions become positive, and positive quantity-dependent conditions become negative. Percentage conditions are not directly affected. Since however they are based on the condition values accumulated up to this point, they react indirectly to the returns item indicator being set.
Procedure
If you make no entry, the returns item indicator is transferred without alteration from the preceding item.
If you enter a '+', the returns item indicator is deselected in the target document.
If you enter '-', the returns item indicator is reversed in the target document in comparison to the source document.
Dependencies
For billing documents
- In cancellation documents, the returns item indicator is reversed in the item in comparison to the cancelled document. This does not have any effect in standard cases, since prices are fixed (pricing type 'E'). The sales document typeis used exclusively to ensure that the cancellation documents neutralize the cancelled document.
