The ID code type controls use of the ID code.
Use
The following related data must be specified in order to assign an ID code to a media product family, a media product or a media issue:
- ID code
- ID code type
Dependencies
The ID code type controls:
- the number areas and number ranges for the ID code
- ability to use the ID code several times
- check algorithm for ID code entry
The system uses the ID code type to check the above dependencies and displays warnings or error messages if necessary. The checking rules are defined in Customizing.
