Definition
The content category classifies the content of a media publication.
Example
- A newspaper with the "Regional issue" content category.
- A book with the "Dictionary" content category.
Dependencies
The content category is not dependent on the media type and the publication type.
A dictionary that is published as a book and as a CD-ROM would be assigned the "Dictionary" content category in both cases.
Further notes
The content category can be defined by the system for specific users. Enter the respective default value in the parameters tab page under the ISM_CONTTYPE parameter.
