Definition
When searching for a booking unit, order items can be found using three different variants:
- General item search using the booking unit assignment
The system searches for order items with a booking unit assignment that contains the booking unit required, regardless of whether you enter a basic or combined booking unit.
Disadvantage: If you search for items using a basic booking unit, the system is only able to find those items in which the basic booking unit is assigned directly to the item. The system does not find items with combined booking units that contain this basic booking unit.
- Item search that is differentiated by basic and combined booking units
The system uses the booking unit assignment from the item during the search for combined booking units. Schedule lines from the order item are interpreted during the search for basic booking units.
Advantage: This ensures that all order items for the booking unit concerned are identified.
- General item search using schedule lines
You should use this search variant if you want to enter a combined booking unit and have the system find all order items for which lower-level basic booking units are found, even those that may be assigned using a different combined booking unit.
To deal with this, these booking units are first broken down into their lower-level booking units. The system then interprets the order schedule lines.
Disadvantage: Possible performance problems during the search for combined booking units.
