Documentation
Definition
The dummy business partner is used to provide temporaray support for order entry if no actual business partner has been created as the sold-to party in the system.
Example
A customer has not yet been created as a media customer. However, a price is to be determined before the order is created, which cannot be used until order entry and requires a media customer as the sold-to party.
The order is initially entered with the dummy business partner as the sold-to party so that the price can be determined. If the customer intends to proceed with the order, the customer is created as a business partner and exchanged with the dummy business partner in the order entry process that has been started.
