Definition
As person(s) responsible for an object type, set this flag if the inheritance of rules is intended as an alternative to direct rule definition in the policies of your object types.
Use
If inheritance is allowed, an #inherit rule# column will be displayed in the policy. I fit is checked for Instance A, the instance must name at least one instance B at runtime from which the rule is to be inherited. Here, only the rule is inherited of the same policy type or the GENERAL policy type, if the Instance B named has this. (If Instance A only has the GENERAL policy type, it inherits all policy types of Instance B.)
Explicit inheritance is only possible between object types of the same object category.
