Definition
Consolidation routes can be assigned to every transport layer. These routes start from a source system and end at a target system (consolidation system). Both SAP systems must be known to the current transport configuration.
Use
If you set up a group of SAP systems with a development system and a production system, then a consolidation route is set up from the development system (= source system) to the production system (= consolidation system).
When development work in an integration system has reached a functional status it is transported into the consolidation system.
