Documentation
Definition
A six-character prefix for package interfaces is saved for each package. If you create a new package interface for this package, the prefix forms a default value (to which you can then add).
Make your prefix unique across all systems; the system checks this within each SAP System.
Use
When you create a new package a prefix is specified for the package interfaces.
