Service category

SAP supplies the following predefined service categories:

• Distribution
• Supply
• Clearing House

  The service category describes the service provider that acts as the central communication partner in the dergulated market. In most cases the service providers do not communicate with each other directly but via the clearing house.

• Settlement coordination

  Describes the organization that settles settlement units and thereby receives the schedules from the supplier and the load shapes from the distributor.

• Technical service provider

  Describes technical systems (such as automated MR systems).

• Other

  Describes any other service categories (such as meter reading services) that currently do not require classification.
