Definition
This field shows you whether or not the contents of the field for which you have called up the function come from the superior functional location.
Procedure
This field is ready for input if you are creating or changing a functional location and have called up the data origin dialog box for a particular field. You can flag it to specify that the data should be copied from the master record of the superior functional location.
Dependencies
Observe the following dependencies:
- The field, for which you want to perform the data origin function must be ready for input, otherwise the dialog box only appears in the display mode.
- For security reasons you can only change the data origin for the maintenance plant field with the help of the menu sequence Edit -> Change maintenance plant -> Data origin.
- The contents of certain fields can then only be transferred from the superior functional location if the organization unit to which they belong, also obtains its data from there.
Beispiel:
If the field cost center has to receive its data from the superior location, you must observe the following dependency structure:
- Cost center -> controlling area of technical object -> company code -> maintenance plant.
