Documentation
Definition
The data fields of HR master data, time management and recruitment are grouped logically into information types or infotypes for short.
Examples of infotypes are "Family/Related Person", "Organizational Assignment, "Basic Pay".
The following naming conventions apply to infotypes:
- Infotypes 0000 to 0999 are used for HR master data
and sometimes for applicant data - Infotypes 1000 - 1999 for organizational management
- Infotypes 2000 - 2999 for time data
- Infotypes 4000 - 4999 for applicant data
- Infotypes 9000 - 9999 for customers

Infotype
Definition
Data on the HR database PREL is not stored by field but
according to logical aspects, i.e. it is combined to
information types.
Expl.: family, workplace, basic pay information types
Information types 9000 to 9999 are reserved for customers.
Supplementary Documentation - INFTY 0002
Use
Here you can enter the infotypes you want to reorganize. You can use all options here, which display a selection option for data selection. If you specify infotypes in your interval that cannot be reorganized because of their time constraint or the time constraint of their subtype, these infotypes are automatically excluded from the selection.

Supplementary Documentation - INFTY 0003
Use
Enter the infotype which is to be evaluated according to the valuation rule. Intervals are created for periods in which infotype records exist.
Procedure
Enter the number of the infotype for which intervals should be created.
Examples
Dependencies
If the infotype has subtypes, you must also enter a subtype.
For technical reasons, you may not be able to create intervals for all infotypes or subtypes. Please use the 'Possible entries' function to display the permissible infotypes.
Only infotypes or subtypes with time constraint 1, 2 or T are supported. Infotypes for applicant data are not supported.
Supplementary Documentation - INFTY 0004
Use
Enter the infotype which is to be evaluated according to the infotype selection condition. When calculating time specifications, such as the length of service in a company, the system creates intervals for periods in which the employee data satisfies the infotype selection condition.
Procedure
Enter the number of the infotype for which intervals should be created.
Examples
Dependencies

For technical reasons, you may not be able to create intervals for all infotypes or subtypes. Please use the 'Possible entries' function to display the permissible infotypes.
Only infotypes or subtypes with time constraint 1, 2 or T are supported. Infotypes for applicant data are not supported.

Use
The infotype that was defined for this infotype selection condition.
Procedure

Dependencies
For technical reasons, not all infotypes or subtypes may be used.
Only infotypes or subtypes with time constraint 1, 2 or T are supported. Infotypes for applicant data are not supported.

Use
If the new infotype record overlaps the record defined in the header line, the system reacts according to the entry in the Reaction indicator field.

If the new infotype record overlaps existing ones, the system acts according to the entry in the Reaction indicator field.

Examples

You must also specify a subtype if subtypes are defined for the infotype.
The system is unable to permit all infotypes (subtypes) for the interval creation because of technical reasons. Use the input help to find permitted infotypes.
The system only supports the infotypes (subtypes) that have time constraint 1, 2 or T. In addition, the system does not support the infotypes for applicant data.
Supplementary Documentation - INFTYPA 0004
Use
You specify here which infotype is evaluated by the infotype selection condition. Intervals are generated during the calculation of time data (for example, length of service) for time periods for which the infotype selection condition has been entered in the employee data.
Procedure
Specify the infotype number of the infotype that is to be used to create intervals.
