Documentation
Definition
A fragment corresponds to a contain in which the part of a table or index is stored according to the fragmentaiton strategy. For expression-based fragmentation, a fragment is defined from the expression and the dbspace in which the data of the fragment is stored. For round robin and hash fragmentation, you only have to define the dbspace.
Note
Each fragment of a table or index must be assigned to its own dbspace. Dbspaces may not occur more than once in the fragments of a table or index.
