Definition
When you use automatic number assignment, the increment for the numbering of variants specifies the spacing between the numbers to be assigned to appropriation request variants.
Use
For automatic assignment of variant numbers, you can enter a 2 place increment for the variant number (that can be up to 4 places). The system then automatically assigns the next variant number based on the highest existing variant number and the increment you specified.
Example
Increment:
01 - system assigns number by 1's (no gaps): 23, 24, 25 ...
05 - system assigns number by 5's: 5, 10, 15, 20 ...
10 - system assigns number by 10's: 10, 20, 30, ...
