Use
You enter the number for the new variant that is created here in the following circumstances:
When you create new appropriation request variants for a new version, and you have set "manual number assignment" for variants in the appropriation request type.
You do not have to make an entry here if you have set up automatic number assignment in all appropriation request types.
If you do not enter a variant number when manual number assignment is in place, the system records any appropriation requests in the set to be copied in which "manual number assignment for variants" has been set, and enters them in the error log.
If the number you entered is already assigned within an appropriation request, the system increases the highest existing numerical variant number by 1.
