Definition
The variant represents different alternatives for carrying out an appropriation request. These can be different technical approaches, or different approaches based on planning or on business organization.
The system manages the plan values for the appropriation request on the appropriation request variant(s). Therefore, an appropriation request always has to have at least one variant.
During the implementation phase, you use the variant for making changes to annual planning for the investment (as an alternative to making changes to plan values in the accompanying measure).
