Definition
User field 5 is for quantities up to a length of 10 characters before the decimal place and 3 characters after it. You also have to maintain a unit of quantity for this value field.
Use
User fields do not have a use that is predefined by the system. You determine their use yourself. You can change the names (key words) for these user fields in Customizing, and they are valid throughout the system.
