Documentation
Definition
If you select this option, the system only stores in the archive files the data that can be destroyed according to the rules defined in ILM. The archive files created with this option cannot be stored on external storage systems.
Using a delete program, it is possible to delete from the database the data transferred to the archive files. No archive information structures are generated.
After deleting the data from the database, the delete program also deletes the generated archive files as well as the file-based administration information.
Use
You use data destruction to permanently delete data that is no longer needed from the database.
