Definition
If you select this option, of the selected data, only that data for which a successful archivability check has been performed is stored in archived files.
The archive files created with this option can be stored on external storage systems.
Using a delete program, it is possible to delete from the database the data that was transferred to the archive files. Archive information structures are generated.
Use
Archiving is used to remove data from closed business transactions from the database in order to reduce its load.
