Definition
The content component type divides content components into columns, sections and special publications. There is also the "root nodes for content components hierarchies" as an additional type.
Use
The content component type is used to make a basic distinction of content components which
can be used for evaluations and
are used internally for validation checks (i.e you can only use content components of the "root node" type as roots of a content component hierarchy).
