Definition
The content component type divides content components into sections, columns and special publications. There is also the "root nodes for content component hierarchies" as an additional type.
Use
Content component type is used to distinguish content components which
can be used for evaluations and
can be used internally for plausibility checks (i.e. only content components of the "root node" type can be used as roots of a content component hierarchy.
