Identifies an application that uses the search framework.

Use

The search framework can be used by different applications. To prevent configuration data from various applications from negatively affecting one another, a differentiation is made between configuration data from different applications.

This means that you have to specify the associated search application for each object of the search framework (search category, search, and so on).

Dependencies

Search applications must be registered with the appropriate department in SAP. This is to avoid a situation in which two different applications happen to have the same key.

Example

The Claims Management system is registered as search application ICL.
